Keychain digital photo viewer
This is good enough for what it is, a relatively inexpensive miniature photo viewer. But it’s a little bulky for a keychain item and the viewer shows mediocre images. It would also be nice if it were possible to randomize the photos, which always display in the same order.

Not the greatest ever – but pretty good.
The case was bigger than I thought it would be, and the picture smaller, but all in all I really like it. I have some chipping on the side though I’ve only had it 2 months, but then I use it pretty roughly. People are always complimenting me on it. And I really like have the case on top of the screen – plus, as my friend noticed it has a mirror on the back of the front cover – like a little compact – except it’s a slightly distorted mirror. All in all, this is a good product. Maybe a little cheap, but then the price is too. The only thing is that when you let people see it, make sure you tell them to slide the cover off to the side and not try to open it like a flip phone.

Cool little photo frame for the bucks
Pro: Very nice little Picture frame, especially for the money. Bright display and very easy to use. Even comes with a remote control.

Con: After rotating any pictures and turning the unit off, the frame looses the orientation of the previously rotated pictures on startup. A royal pain! I would think Kodak could fix this in a firmware update.

Info: A standard usb flash memory stick will stick out past the edge of the frame and looks like @#@, however I bought a neat little 2 GB miget usb/flash memory that solves that problem. http://www.kingston.com/flash/dtmini_migo.asp

The unit does not support the compact flash but has the ability to copy pictures from usb flash to any of the supported cards.

This is a nice digital picture frame for under $75. The real nice thing about it is that it is a 4:3 aspect ratio instead of the 16:9 that most 7″ and 8″ frames are. This is very important because it means that you wont have to crop the pictures off your camera to make them look right. Just resize them if you want and go…My only complaint is that you cant view the pictures in random order, but no big deal.

so sad
It worked for about 2 days and then one day I plugged it in and it was so dark you could hardly see it. So for my christmas present I got 2 days of digital frame. It was a gift and I couldn’t return it.

First Time Buyer
Unlike the negative comments this frame has, it is actually a great product. People who complain about it must have limited computer knowledge because their is no software just copy pictures to the memory form of choice and stick it in the frame. They frames can be put in a specific order by numbering them. Try 01 or 001 to start if you have more than 10 or 100 pictures to play. They only real downfall is you cannot upload them onto the frame itself, but other frames like the kodak has limited memory anyway holding only about 15 or so pics. So buy the cheaper product and by a jump drive…also cheap! Good luck!

I bought this as a Christmas present for my mom and dad. I thought that the high resolution (higher than the Kodak) would produce a good picture. I bought my brother the Kodak with a lower resolution but it turned out to be a much better frame. No matter what the resolution of the picture, this frame had a terrible picture. What a disappointment on Christmas morning. not only was the picture bad but now I had to pay to return it. what a kick in the face. do not buy this frame. pay a little more and get a better frame.

How to fix the distortion
If you haven’t bought this frame yet, don’t buy it. Look elsewhere.

I got this as a gift and was determined to make it work. If you set the aspect ratio to 4:3 then your pictures will display properly, but won’t fill up the screen. The default is 16:9 which stretches the photos and distorts them.

The trick is to distort (compress) them so that look ok when stretched. Using a photo editing tool, select a 1000 by 500 pixel portion of your photo. Then change the image properties to 700 by 500. The key is to uncheck the “maintain aspect ratio” box. On your PC, your photo will now look squished. But when loaded to the frame it now look fine.

I used the editor that came with my Canon camera, but you can download the free IrfanView to do it.

cheap but not good
I bought this for my wife for Christmas and got a 1Gb SD card for it as well. I started loading in pictures on the card but there’s no point in putting alot on it. This thing is slower than molasses and most images don’t look very good. Not the best gift I ever gave her…fortunately I bought jewelry as well!

Distorts images
While this frame had a lot of the features I was looking for at a decent price, the image quality was so bad that I returned it immediately. The frame stretched all of my images to fit a widescreen format, so everything was distorted. There wasn’t any way to display with borders or by cropping the photos to prevent this distortion.

I bought a Pandigital frame instead and was much more satisfied.
